So, for anyone who's curious.... and doesn't yet know... I'm working full time for NCO doing MSN Partner Support. I work on both the phones and on Premiere Escalations... though that last bit will likely mean nothing to you unless you work for Verizon, Bell, or Qwest in the tech support departments, or for Microsoft.

So, yeah, I was in training for 4 weeks, passed both of my final exams (written knowledge, oral performance), and have moved out onto the floor officially.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that I can fix your hotmail... though I do have full support access to all of hotmail (and associated services like Passport)... I only do support work for escalations from Verizon, Bell, or Qwest... so, if you have DSL through any of them, I'll support you, but that's it.

YAAY!

Neil has a job!

No, I don't work for Microsoft directly, but, with all the tools and access I have, there's not much difference... except for the pay.

MSN Partner Support

When I worked as a Senior Tech for Verizon DSL, I dealt with MSN Partner support all the time. Nice bunch of guys. Always said tho that they were MSN employees. I always thought they were lying. =P

Re: MSN Partner Support

Heh, yeah. On the phone, we're not allowed to even hint that we might not work for Microsoft. Even thinking it on the phone is possible grounds for being fired. And that's not NCO policy, that's MSN policy.

Re: MSN Partner Support

That's the same for Verizon, they didn't want us to reveal that we worked for an outside company.

Ask yer co-workers about Lvl 3 techs from Columbus for Verizon, see if they mention an Eric, Shane, or Michael. they used to love the three of us.

Re: MSN Partner Support

Oh yeah... those that came before me tend to speak fairly well of the Verizon agents. If you were one of them, that makes sense.

My supervisor told me that the Qwest agents are about as smart as a post, though...

And Bell is Canadian... so I can't say anything bad about them.
